Instructions
Grouped by main activity.
Marinate the Meat
- Whisk together marinade ingredients.
- Pour marinade over beef strips and let sit for 20-30 minutes or longer.
Prepare the Sauce
- Whisk together all sauce ingredients and set to the side.
- You can adjust the amount of corn starch if you prefer a less thick sauce, I usually only put in 2-3 tbsp usually.
Make the Stir Fry
- Heat a large pan (or wok) with 2 tbsp oil over med-high/high heat.
- Add the beef and fry for a few minutes.
- Adding too much extra marinade liquid into the pan may cause the meat to get steamed, so I recommend either straining or use tongs to add the meat instead of just pouring it all into the pan.
- Add vegetable and cook until slightly softened (a few more minutes).
- Pour in your sauce and cook until thickened to your liking.
- If you want to make the sauce thicker after you've started heating the sauce, make sure to make a slurry with the extra corn starch and cold water before adding to the pan. Adding corn starch to the hot pan sauce will cause clumping.
- Serve over rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
